Sky and I don't actually know where the states are, so we were delighted to find that Pennsylvania was on our way. We gawked at the Amish for a bit, then went into Scranton just because we love The Office.

Tuesday night we drove into Brooklyn AND found a place to park not too far from Sky's aunt Maggie's cute little apartment. Everyone related to Sky is rad. I haven't liked the big cities or touristy places we've been, but somehow I love the biggest, most touristy city yet. I guess I expected NYC to be intimidating, but it's so not. I love the fashion! We went up on the Empire State Building, took the ferry to Staten Island and saw the Statue of Liberty, went to Coney Island and dipped our toes in the Atlantic just in time to not get hit by lightning, etc.

The rest of our time here has been spent at the Teen Challenge 50th Anniversary Celebration. Nicky Cruz, Israel Narvaez, Sonny Arguinzoni and David Wilkerson were all up there together; they were awesome speakers too.

While you were there, we were in Eugene!--the Oregon Bach festival, and it was magnificant!--although a little intimidating, due to the traffic...(it just doesn't seem right, that they would have the Olympic Trials the same time and place as the Bach festival) Anyway, Saturday we heard the Bach b minor mass; [one of the best masses ever written by a Lutheran"!) and then last night (6/30) we heard Garrison Keilor narrate an entire show about Lutherans! it was hilarious, and he had the orchestra in such stitches that they had a hard time playing at times....Be sure to go to the garment district---lower Manhattan, i think--love youse--pops
